Alpha is coming to
St. Marys THIS Fall!

         


        

      

ALPHA is coming to SMI this Fall! Enjoy great food, laughter and learning about the teachings of Jesus in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Be our guest as you explore questions about the existence of God and Jesus, the purpose of life, the value of prayer, what happens after death and more. Look for early registration to begin in May.

Divine Mercy Sunday

St. Mary's will celebrate a Divine Mercy Prayer and Reconciliation Service on Sunday, April 27 in the Church. All are welcome to participate with us in this celebration of God’s mercy.  Confessions begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue throughout. Divine Mercy Sunday and Canonization Celebration

        


                   

Sunday, April 27

Pope Francis will declare two of his predecessors saints with a Holy Mass and double Canonization Ceremony in St. Peter’s Square on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27. Here at St. Mary Immaculate, we will celebrate the Canonization of Blesseds John 23rd and John Paul II all morning through early afternoon with the Canonization service streaming from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm in the Gym. At 10:15 am a Multilingual Prayer Service in Spanish, Italian, Polish and English will be held, also in the Gym.  Fellowship will run throughout the event, first with coffee, donuts and fruit, then an Italian/Polish Potluck starting at 10:30 a.m. Anyone interested in contributing to the potluck, please contact Laura VanHam at 815-436-2651 ext. 887.

Everyone is invited to stop in and join us to watch the ceremony, offer prayers, and enjoy food and fellowship as we celebrate with millions of people around the world on this joyous and historic occasion!

 

 
 

RE and Confirmation Registration begins April 1 — Due on April 30

Registration for the 2014-2015 school year will begin April 1, 2014 for both Religious Education Grades K-6 and Confirmation Grades 7 -12. Forms for RE Grades K-6 will be sent home with your student the first week of April or you can pick up the forms in the RE office, in the Commons, or online. SMI 5K Registration

Sign up for the 3rd Annual SMI Spartan 5K Fun Run/Walk is underway.  All are welcome from the school, parish, and community to join in the fun and help support the students at St Mary Immaculate Parish School.  All race participants will receive a race t-shirt and goodie bag.  Register now at http://smi5k2014.itsyourrace.com. 2014-2015 School Registration Open & Kindergarten Open House

It is time for us to begin planning for our 2014-2015 enrollment at St. Mary Immaculate Parish School. We offer a quality faith-centered education for children from Pre-School (age 3 by September 1, 2014) to Grade Eight. Also, join us for our Kindergarten Open House on Tuesday Morning, April 8 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. and Friday Afternoon, April 25 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. No appointment necessary.
