Military Ministry News - Upcoming Events

Please help the Military Ministry honor and help local men and women and their families who serve our county in our Armed Forces. Learn how at our next Military Ministry meetings,    Sept 15th and Oct, 20 at 7:00pm, at St. Mary Immaculate in the North Wing Rooms B&C. Christmas Collection Drive—Stockings & Stocking Stuffers Needed The Military Ministry is collecting stocking and stocking stuffers to send a little piece of the holiday season and home to approximately 7,000 troops! Here’s some suggestions of needed items: mechanical pencils, 4 packs of AA and AAA batteries, mints and Christmas candy, candy canes, individually wrapped Beef Jerky and Slim Jims, new CD’s and DVDs, individual bags of nuts, individually wrapped Twizzlers, Beanie Babies or small toys such as Yo-Yo’s, iTunes Gift Cards, and small crossword or other puzzle books. You could also provide thank you letter(s), a colored picture/holiday card(s), or a Christmas stocking (bought or sewn – we have a pattern should anyone have an interest). All items can be dropped into the collection box in the St. Mary Immaculate Parish Commons now through Friday, October 8th. And a big THANK YOU to those who have donated.
