We are in need of volunteers to restart our Funeral Luncheon Ministry. A funeral luncheon will be offered to each family who contacts the parish to plan a weekday funeral. Families do pay for the main meal, but desserts are donated by parishioners and drinks are provided by the parish. Members of this ministry help with set up, serving and clean-up.
We need volunteers for the following positions:
FOOD DONORS – Food Donors prepare or buy dessert and bring it to the parish kitchen on the day of the luncheon. We are rebuilding our food donor list! So, if you were on our donation list in 2020, and are still interested in donating, please contact Laura Van Ham.
SET UP/CLEAN UP TEAM – Team members arrive one hour prior to the luncheon to help put place mats, eating utensils, napkins and salt & pepper shakers on the dining tables, help set up the tablecloths, plates, etc. for the buffet and possibly prepare coffee/lemonade, then help to clean up afterwards. Daytime availability is needed.
KITCHEN TEAM – Team members arrive 30 minutes to one hour prior to the luncheon to help plate desserts, set up food items on the dessert buffet table, serve guests and then help with clean up. Team members must be available during the day.
