Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in the kindergarten through fifth grades, or 6 to 10 years of age. Youth who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting or Venturing program. Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience focused on values. Besides providing a positive place where children can enjoy safe activities, Cub Scouting builds character, improves physical fitness, teaches practical skills, and develops a spirit of community service. As a worldwide brotherhood, Scouting is a movement dedicated to bringing out the best in people. All Scouting activities benefit the growth and development of the youth. Pack 19 now is open to boys and girls through BSA’s Family Scouting program.
