Did you know that new underwear and socks are the most-requested, but least-donated items at Catholic Charities? These basic items (new underwear, warm socks, a fresh diaper) are truly treasures to those who are living in poverty.
St. Mary Immaculate Parish is helping Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet and the individuals and families they serve by collecting the following NEW items for children and adults living in low-income households:
- Toddler/children’s underwear
- Infant
- Youth socks
- Pull-ups (2T-5T)
- Wipes
- Diapers
- Children’s Underwear 3T-5T
- Socks all sizes
- Tampons/Pads
(Please note that we are grateful for ALL donations to Undy Sunday!)
Collection will be held in the Commons September 13 – October 20. Items may also be dropped off at Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 20 behind SMI School in the large circle drive (bus lane).
