Daybreak Meal to Feed the Homeless

Daybreak Meal to Feed the Homeless

NOVEMBER Daybreak Meal to Feed the Homeless

Food Donations Needed

Daybreak is a homeless shelter located in downtown Joliet. The evening meals for the residents are provided solely by contributions prepared and served by the congregations of local churches and community organizations. The ministry at St. Mary’s has committed to supplying the dinner six times per year, along with some of the provisions for breakfast the following day. We need your help!

Our next meal is Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The ministry is providing the main course.  We would greatly appreciate your help with donating side dishes, desserts, drinks and some supplies for breakfast the next day.

If you would like to help, please sign up to donate an item at smip.org/daybreak by November 1.  We ask that donated items please be brought to the Commons by November 2 at 10:00 a.m. for pick up that morning.  Perishable items should be marked and placed in the refrigerator in the parish kitchen.  We are open 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until noon on Friday, and 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Our meals are successful as a result of your generosity.  Your participation is truly a way to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
