Dear St. Mary Immaculate Parish and School Community,

We are issuing an urgent security warning regarding a fraudulent email phishing campaign that has targeted members of our community.

There are phishing emails that you may receive from an @smip.org email address, making them look completely legitimate.

What the Fake Email Looks Like:

The email claims that a staff member or user is sharing a document with you via DocuSign.

  • Important Note: St. Mary Immaculate does NOT use DocuSign. Any email claiming to send you a document through DocuSign from an @smip.org address is 100% fake.
  • The email contains a link that takes you to a fake login page asking for your Google credentials or permissions. Clicking this link or attempting to log in allows scammers to hijack your account without needing your password.

Action Required:

  • Do NOT Click the Link: If you receive an email from any @smip.org account offering or requesting a “DocuSign” document, delete it immediately.
  • Do NOT Enter Credentials: Never sign in or approve access prompts on a web page linked from an unexpected document request.
  • Report It: If you clicked one of these links or entered your login details, please change your account password immediately and remove any unknown devices connected to your Google account.

Thank you for your immediate attention and assistance in keeping our community safe!
