Spiritual Adoption of Unborn Baby in Danger of Abortion

Spiritual Adoption of Unborn Baby in Danger of Abortion

The Reverence for Life Ministry would like to invite each parishioner to do something special. We all pray for loved ones, friends and members of our family. But now we are asking you to pray for two new persons.  The first is someone you don’t know and will never meet. The second person is someone who is not even born yet. The first is a woman who will decide whether or not to choose life. The second is her unborn baby.

The ministry is asking you to spiritually adopt an unborn baby, name this baby, then pray daily for the mother and her child for nine months from March 25 (Feast of the Annunciation) to December 25 (Christmas Day):

“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn child I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”

Ministry members will be in the Commons on March 21-22, handing out flyers with the daily prayer, “Watch Me Grow” brochures, and baby feet pins. Information will also be available in the Narthex, to help you spiritually adopt your baby. Be sure to keep an eye on the bulletin to see how your spiritually adopted child is growing each month.

During your earthly life this spiritually adopted child of yours will be known only to God, but in the world to come it is hoped that you will meet the souls your prayers saved and spend eternal happiness with them.
