A Day of Faith and Service to Bring Jesus to Others
Dozens of meaningful, family-oriented service projects are offered here at SMI and out in the community on Make a Difference Day. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to come together in loving service and fellowship! The wide assortment of service projects offers something suitable for all ages, including families with youth, teens, young adults, and seniors.
New projects this year include cleaning the bleachers in the gym, cleaning plastic white tables, delivering food to micro food pantries, cleaning brass in church & Cana, and closing the garden for the season at Vianney House. Returning favorites include adoration, Donation Station, Feed My Starving Children, New Life for Old Bags, making rosaries, the blood drive, painting pumpkins, making cards for shut-ins, Rosary for Life, Adopt a Street, Ready Set Ride, making stress blankets at SMI campus, and much, much more!
Browse and sign up for projects starting 9/1 at www.smip.org/MaDD. In addition to your service project, come for some or all of the additional activities: Start the day with Daily Mass and the Volunteer Blessing. Finally, return for the afternoon Vigil Mass in Church at 4 pm.
