Join the Rescue Project Team!

Would you like to help others have a life-changing encounter with God? The Rescue Project is for you!  It’s an eight-week experience of meaningful conversations, powerful talks, and FREE food coming to St. Mary Immaculate this fall — all centered around understanding and experiencing why Jesus matters for you in your life.   Already wildly successful in parishes throughout the country and with our own Hispanic ministry at SMI, The Rescue Project is a perfect place to share your gifts of service and leadership with others in the parish.

You don’t need any special skills or knowledge to help. We just need people with humble hearts and a willingness to show up. There are many ways to help like by being a small group facilitator, helping create a welcoming atmosphere, entertaining young children so their parents can attend the sessions, or serving the delicious food. Facilitating a small group, for instance, is straightforward since you mainly listen more than talk, ask the provided questions, and help the attendees feel welcome. Following an inspiring and successful first training session in June, there are two additional options for upcoming facilitator training this summer:

  • Monday 7/21 from 6PM – 8PM at SMI
  • Monday 8/11 from 6PM – 8PM at SMI

Regardless of whether you join us as a team member or as an attendee, you’re sure to build some great friendships along the way! Please use the button below to sign up to help out!
